Moon Crisis Jacket!

So yeah I started this jacket back in like the middle or end of May and now I'm here and I just finished today. I'm so excited!!! Sailor Moon is such an important thing for me because I've loved it since I was little. Usagi is literally my spirit animal (totally obnoxious, loves food, cries a lot) and I have always striven to be just like Sailor Moon, and embody all the strength that ALL the Sailor Senshi have executed.
I started by bleaching the jacket (which I got at a thrift shop near me) and then dying it bright blue on top and purple on the bottom. Then I washed it, added some fabric softener, and then let it dry. Then I embroidered the Sailor Senshi logos on the spots that would go over the buttons, starting with Mercury at the top, then Venus, then Mars, and then Jupiter. Then I started on the ribbon at the top and the text that read 'In the Name of the Moon.' Then I did the bottom ribbon and the text that said 'I Will Punish You!' and then I started on the pearls, then the Crisis Moon Heart Compact, then the Moon Stick, and then the purple ribbon in the background. While doing that, I started adding the pom-poms. It's this trimming I found at Joann's fabrics. I put it around the edges of the sleeves, and then I ripped out the seam in the back above the top ribbon and added it there. My sewing machine worked for the sleeves, but when I went to do the back the needle broke lol. So I did that (reluctantly) by hand. Then I did the heart on the side with the Tuxedo Mask mask inside and the last thing I did today was the lace detail.
I am so so so so proud of this jacket and I am probably never going to take it off. I'm so madly in love with it, and so excited to share it with everyone on the interwebs.
